
Polly Anderson (Chair)
Executive Director, WUCF-TV, Orlando, Florida
Polly Anderson is the Board Chair of APTS. Polly currently serves as the Executive Director of WUCF-TV in Orlando, Florida. Prior to joining WUCF, she was the General Manager and CEO of New Mexico PBS.
Polly has more than twenty-five years experience in management, marketing, finance, communications, strategic operations and media management. Her experience includes tenure in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She began her public broadcasting career in 1996 as Director of Corporate Support for WUFT-TV & FM, the public television and radio stations at the University of Florida. In 2003 she accepted the position of Vice President of Development and Marketing for the statewide network, Alabama Public Television, and in 2005 accepted the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of KWBU, the community licensed public television and radio stations located in Waco, Texas. In 2008, she began her tenure as General Manager and CEO of KNME, the PBS member station serving central and northern New Mexico. KNME is licensed jointly to the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools.
Polly is very involved in the public broadcasting industry, currently serving as Chair of the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA). She also serves on the PBS Board’s Task Force on Corporate Support, is a member of the Board of Native American Public Telecommunications (NAPT) and the Pacific Mountain Network, and is a member of the University Licensee Association.
Polly received her BA in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1983.
