EMILY MARKHAM

Emily Markham joined APTS as a Research Associate in November 2011. Emily works with the APTS Grant Center to identify and research federal and foundation grant opportunities for local public broadcasting stations.

Prior to joining the APTS team, Emily gained experience in the grant making process with numerous nonprofits in the Pittsburgh area. At the Welcome Center for Immigrants and International, Emily participated in the initial research and grant writing necessary to establish a community language bank. She was also a member of a multi-faceted team carrying out a foundation funded research study tracking the behavior of students in the Pittsburgh Public School system.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Emily holds a BA in Global Policy Studies from Chatham University, and a Masters of Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
