Congressional Liaison

Rishi Hingoraney joined APTS in October 2006 as a Congressional Liaison. His duties include representing Public Television on Capitol Hill on issues ranging from station funding to digital rights.

Prior to joining APTS, Rishi served as Managing Principal of American PressWorks, Inc., an association management and consulting firm, where he represented media clients on state and federal legislative issues.

His primary responsibilities included advocating on behalf of almost 3,000 community newspapers as Director of Government Relations for the National Newspaper Association. He specialized in First Amendment, small business and advertising issues. Rishi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from The University of Georgia School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.
