About APTS

The Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) is a nonprofit membership organization established in 1979 to represent the interests of the local public television stations on a national level. APTS is the national voice of its member stations – the more than 360 local public television stations across the country.

About The Public Media Summit

2012 Public Media Summit The APTS Public Media Summit (The Summit) is the largest annual gathering of public broadcasting general managers and community leaders, representing both television and radio, who come together to explore all the issues vital to the future and mission of public service media. The Summit features experts in education, technology, media innovation, fundraising, public policy and more. Your company’s participation will provide a unique opportunity to offer your solutions and services to the $2 billion public broadcasting industry.

Meal Events

You’ll find that most public broadcasting leaders consider attendance at meal events a must. Meals will feature a speaker to provide insights into issues important to public broadcasting. Meal events also offer sponsors a chance to customize their event as it is here where you can speak directly to station managers about your organization. Breakfast and lunch sponsors are given 5 minutes to speak, dinner sponsors are given 10 minutes to speak.

Red Carpet Reception

Sponsorship Fee: $10,000

Join us as we kick off our award winning night! The exhibit booth for the sponsor of this event will be given prime location in the exhibit hall, have napkins designed with their company’s logo displayed and co-present an award to one of our public broadcasting stations with our president & CEO, Patrick Butler, at our Awards Banquet that evening. During this event attendees will be interviewed about their organizations in front of our APTS backdrop with your logo alongside on our red carpet. Interviews will be videotaped and featured on our website. This event, which will provide music, food and beverages, is surely a great atmosphere to meet old friends and make new ones. Your organization will also have the opportunity to address the audience during a general session on Sunday, prior to the reception.

As attendees enter the exhibit hall, they won’t be able to miss the adjoining Cyber Center and Evaluation Port. Additionally, your organization’s sponsorship will provide attendees with the needed technology to fill out conference evaluation forms, which help APTS build a better conference while attendees increase their chances to win valuable prizes! Capitol Hill Breakfast Rally

The Summit culminates in the Capitol Hill Breakfast Rally, a motivating session that prepares public media leaders for addressing their members of Congress. Show your support for attendees’ efforts on Capitol Hill by sponsoring a hearty breakfast and emotionally-charged session where conference members hear from members of Congress and famous names in public broadcasting. Additionally, your sponsorship will allow your organization to address an audience during a Monday general session, the day before the breakfast rally.

The Congressional Directory is given to all attendees and serves as their year-round resource for contacting their congressional delegation. Sponsors may purchase space in the directory, including the back and inside covers. Exhibitor Space
Sunday, February 24 – Monday, February 25
Exhibitor Fee: $3,000

Our exclusive conference exhibit hall is the ideal location for promotion of your organization. Throughout the two-day conference, the exhibit hall houses coffee breaks, receptions, a Cyber Center and Evaluation Port and boasts a relaxing lounge area for conference guests.

Public Media Summit ExhibitorAdditionally, The Summit’s Passport Incentive Program will encourage attendees to visit your booth. Conference attendees will receive an Exhibitor Passport Book with their registration materials and each exhibitor will be represented by a space on the passport with their company’s name or logo. Attendees who receive stamps from all participating exhibitors will be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Our evaluation port will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about your company through a questionnaire and as they fill out session evaluation forms! This program will entice attendees to visit every booth to increase their chances for winning our grand prizes.

Exhibitor fees for booths include background drape, one 6-foot draped and skirted table, two chairs, one wastebasket and one ID sign. We recommend exhibitors sign up early, as the limited number of exhibitor spots fills quickly.
