The 2016 Public Media Summit Station Participation Information

As we prepare for The 2016 Public Media Summit, we're once again requesting your help in inspiring your fellow General Managers to emulate your success in transforming your station into a versatile platform for community service.

The theme of this year's Summit is Turning Point: The Future of Public Media, and an important component of that theme is demonstrating what our stations are doing beyond traditional broadcasting - especially how you're doing well by doing good in your community (especially in education, public safety and civic leadership), and how you're using technological advances to become a more effective and efficient public service enterprise.

If you have an interstitial highlighting your station's progress in these areas, I'd be grateful if you'd send us one or two video clips you'd like shown at The Summit and on the APTS website.

I am not asking you to create anything for this specific purpose, but rather to share with your colleagues the stories you're already telling in your community.

Video clips should be no more than 1-2 minutes in length, have a resolution of 720p or higher, and in a MP4/v format. Deadline for submissions is Monday, February 1, 2016.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you intend to share a clip with us so that we may start featuring your station throughout our Summit email updates. A simple email to Tela Hansom-Pitt at tpitt@apts.org is all we need.

Please note, this offer is only open to APTS members with registered attendees at The 2016 Public Media Summit.

Thank you for supporting APTS. We looking forward to seeing you - and your video clips - at The Summit in February.

Best,
