Public Media Summit Prospectus 2012

and the future of public broadcasting.

About APTS

The Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) is a nonprofit membership organization established in 1979 to represent the interests of the local public television stations on a national level. The mission of APTS is to conduct – in concert with member stations – advocacy, planning, research and communications activities in order to achieve strong and financially sound noncommercial television and advanced digital services for the American people. APTS is the national voice of its member stations – the more than 360 local public television stations across the country.

About The Public Media Summit

The APTS Public Media Summit (The Summit) is the largest annual gathering of public broadcasting general managers and community leaders, representing both television and radio, who come together to discuss issues vital to the future and mission of public broadcasting. Additionally, experts and colleagues will discuss practical business solutions and trends to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of public broadcasting. This distinguished group will also educate Capitol Hill on the essential role public broadcasting plays in education, public safety and many other local issues.

Exhibitor and Sponsor Opportunities

The Summit is an unparalleled opportunity for your organization to gain direct access to key executive level decision makers while demonstrating your company’s support for public broadcasting. Your presence at this event will ensure that you establish and enhance your profile among business prospects with real purchasing power. Exhibiting and/or sponsoring events at The Summit:

  • Provides you the opportunity to make contact with over 200 public broadcasting executives, primarily station presidents, general managers and board members.
  • Allows you to present your company’s products and services to decision makers in a variety of ways, from exhibiting in a favorable environment to addressing the audience during a general session.
  • Gives you a forum to build relationships with other industry leaders and potential business partners.
