Documenting Democracy: Access to Historical Records Projects
This National Archives and Records Administration program supports four types of archival projects that expand understanding of the American past. Applications are due 10/3/13.
Publishing Historical Records
NARA will fund 30 projects for a total of $2.5M, supporting those which publish historical records with free online access.

National Endowment for the Arts

Art Works
This NEA program, newly restructured in 2011, encourages and supports creation, engagement, learning and livability in communities.

National Endowment for the Humanities

America's Historical and Cultural Organizations
NEH's America's Historical and Cultural Organizations grants support humanities projects that encourage dialogue, discussion and civic engagement. Planning and implementation grants are available.
America's Media Makers: Development & Production Grants
NEH's America's Media Makers program supports projects in the humanities that explore stories, ideas and beliefs. Both production and development grants are available.
Bridging Cultures at Community Colleges
NEH will make 7-9 grants of $120,000 for projects that use collaboration with humanities institutions to enrich humanities education and scholarship at community colleges.
Digital Humanities Start-Up Grants
This NEH program awards two levels of grants, both of which support projects that employ digital technology to improve humanities research, education, preservation, access and public programming.
Enduring Questions
This NEH grant program supports the development of a new undergraduate course that will foster intellectual community through the study of an enduring question.
Humanities Collections and Reference Resources
This NEH program funds efforts to extend the life of important collections of books, photographs, sound recordings, movings images, artifacts, art and material culture and digital objects.
Humanities Initiatives at Historically Black Colleges and Universities
The NEH will grant awards of up to $100,000 for projects that strengthen and enrich humanities education at historically black colleges and universities.
Programming Grants to Accompany NEH On the Road Exhibitions
NEH will award grants of $1,000 for activities to accompany the NEH on the Road traveling exhibitions. Stations should consider partnering with eligible humanities organizations.

Department of Housing and Urban Development

Choice Neighborhoods - Implementation Grants
The Choice Neighborhoods - Implementation Grants program aims to transform neighborhoods of poverty into viable mixed-income neighborhoods with access to economic opportunities.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Collaborative Operations and Services Grant Program
CPB will make grants of up to $750,000 for projects that use mergers and collaborations to improve the efficiency of public broadcasting stations.
Program Challenge Fund
CPB's Program Challenge Fund funds high-visibility, high-impact limited series and feature length documentaries that offer a definitive take on a subject or break new ground in public service media.
Rural Station Digital Equipment Emergency Recovery Grants
CPB will make a total of $500,000 in grants providing emergency financial assistance to rural station to replace damaged or destroyed equipment.
Support for Participation in TV Multi-Station Master Controls Grant
CPB will make grants of up to $50,000 to support the costs associated with participating in an existing multi-station master control project.

Department of Agriculture

Rural Business Opportunity Grants (RBOG)
The USDA's RBOG program assists in the economic development of rural areas by providing grants for technical assistance, training and planning for business and economic development.

Department of Education

Investing in Innovation Fund (i3) - Scale-Up Grants
Development, Validation and Scale-up grants are available through this Department of Education program that supports innovative projects to improve K-12 education.

School Leadership Program
Funds from this Department of Education program will assist high-need LEAs in recruiting and training principals and assistant principals.

Department of Homeland Security

Emergency Management Performance Grants Program
DHS anticipates making $332.4 million in awards to states to improve their preparedness for all hazards, including the appropriate use of emergency alerts and warnings.
Homeland Security Grant Program
The DHS plans to award $968M in awards to states and regions across the country to improve national preparedness capabilities, including emergency alerts and warning activities.
Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program
The DHS plans to award $10 million across 50 awards to strengthen a tribe's capacity to prepare for and respond to emergency situations.

Department of Labor

Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program
DOL will award a total of $5 million in grants for programs using job readiness and education services to help reintegrate homeless veterans back into the labor force.
Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grants Program
The DOL offers as much as $25 million for projects aimed at improving education and career training programs, with a new special emphasis on innovation and online curriculum development.

National Science Foundation

Advanced Technological Education
The Advanced Technological Education program at NSF promotes improvement in the education of science and engineering technicians at the undergraduate and secondary school levels.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Talent Expansion Program
NSF will make grants of up to $2 million for projects that increase the number of students receiving associate or baccalaureate degrees in STEM.
Widening Implementation & Demonstration of Evidence-Based Reforms
NSF will make a total of $20 million in grants for projects that improve STEM education practices at a large scale. Planning, research and implementation grants are available.

Corporation for National and Community Service

RSVP Competition
CNCS will make $14.5 million in new grants for activities that serve and impact communities across the nation.

US Institute of Peace

Annual Grant Competition
The USIP will grant 20-25 awards of up to $100,000 for projects that bring awareness to conflict resolution and peacebuilding worldwide.
