Description: The Catto Charitable Foundation is funded by the Hobby Family Foundation, based in Houston, Texas . Foundation Vice President, Henry Catto served as U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, to the UN and to the United Kingdom. He also served as the director of the United States Information Agency. He served on the NPR Board from 1995-2001 and still serves on the Board of the NPR Foundation. He was married to Jessica Hobby Catto who died in September 2009.

How to apply: The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. Interested organizations would need to find a way to gain an introduction to the Foundation and/or to partner with an organization currently receiving support.

Giving range: $1,000 – $800,000+.  Most grants are under $50,000.
