Fit for public broadcasting: The best fit is likely raising public awareness on the topics of innovation and assistive technology for people with disabilities.

Eligibility: Giving is primarily in Washington, DC, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey and New York. 

No support is given to:

  • Individual elementary or secondary schools or school districts.
  • Local chapters of national organizations.
  • Organizations located outside the U.S.
  • Individuals.
  • Capital campaigns or building funds.
  • Fundraising events or advertising.
  • No product donations.

Deadline: Prior to March 1 and September 1

How to apply: The Foundation has temporarily suspended grantmaking due to the recession. The Foundation will announce renewed grantmaking in the future by posting a notice on its website. When grantmaking is reimplemented, initial approach is by one-page letter of inquiry, submitted by e-mail. 

Giving range: $12,750 - $60,000
