Description: The Save America's Treasures program is one of the largest and most successful grant programs for the protection of our nation's endangered and irreplaceable cultural heritage. This program provides grants for preservation and conservation work on nationally significant historic properties and collections. Collections include artifacts, museum collections, documents, sculpture, and other works of art. Historic properties include historic districts, buildings, sites, structures and objects.

Fit for Public Broadcasting: This grant could be an opportunity to preserve video, film, and audio materials in conjunction with a digitization or public education/outreach project that stations are already planning. Public broadcasters with historic collections of programming should consider applying.

Eligibility: State governments, local governments, and nonprofits are eligible to apply. Stations can apply directly or partner with another eligible organization.

Anticipated funding: Total anticipated funding for this program is $14 million. Collection project awards range from $25,000 to $700,000 and historic property project awards range from $125,000 to $700,000. All grants require a dollar-for-dollar, non-federal match or cost-share.
