Description: The Toyota USA Foundation is principally focused on supporting K-12 educational programs that focus on the areas of math and science. In addition, Toyota supports the social well-being of communities where it has major operations (Alabama, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Texas and West Virginia). This includes assistance for Arts & Culture, Civic & Community Development, Health & Human Services. Each one of these regions has its own guidelines and application process. - $250,000 to the American Museum of Natural History, in partnership with the City University of New York, for the Teacher Renewal for Urban Science Teaching program, an initiative designed to prepare, recruit and retain certified science teachers for New York City Schools (2006).
- $250,000 to Thirteen/WNET for Planet H20 (2004).
- $249,875 to The Greening of Detroit, a Life Sciences Program for K-5th grade students in Detroit Public Schools (2006).
- $170,000 to Thirteen/WNET for Planet H20 (2006).
- $50,000 to Girls Inc. for the Thinking SMART program to sharpen math, science, engineering and technology skills among young girls ages 12-18 (2006).

- KCET Public Broadcasting Service, Los Angeles, California.
- KRMA-TV Special, Denver, Colorado.
- National Public Radio.
- PBS.
Fit for public broadcasting: The Foundation has a history of supporting public media. The best fit for the national Foundation are projects that advance science and math learning. For local funding, there is more flexibility, including advancing arts/culture.
Eligibility: The Toyota USA Foundation accepts proposals from throughout the United States. Applicant organizations must be financially sound. The Foundation will not support organizations that are not recognized as tax-exempt. The Foundation prefers not to support events.

How to apply: Complete an online grant application form. No applications will be accepted by U.S. mail.
