Grants go towards establishing or enhancing an emergency management planning process that integrates the following components:
-
Reviewing, strengthening, and institutionalizing all-hazards emergency management plans.
-
Fostering partnerships with local and state community partners.
-
Vulnerability assessments.
-
Training and drilling on the emergency management plan across the campus community.
-
Developing a plan to address the mental health needs of students, faculty, and staff that may be at risk of causing campus violence by harming themselves or others.
Fit for public broadcasting: The primary focus of EMHE is to assist campuses with planning for, responding to, and recovering from major emergencies and disasters. Competitive projects will help foster communication and establish relationships between emergency responders and ensure that relationships are established before an emergency event occurs.
