Description: The Foundation supports organizations working in Idaho in the areas of education, health care and social services. One of the Foundation's priorities is providing scholarships to students attending the University of Idaho. The Foundation has been a long-time, major supporter of Idaho Public Television. In 2008, the Foundation received the PBS Leadership Award (awarded at the PBS Development Conference).

Sample grants:

  • $500,000 to St. Alphonsus Foundation for a hospital expansion (2008).
  • $300,000 to Idaho Public Television for Idaho programming (2008).
  • $50,000 to Wildlife Conservation Society (2008).
  • $30,000 to Boise Philharmonic for children's concerts (2008).
  • $10,000 to the Garden City Library for acquisition of children's books (2009).

Fit for public broadcasting: The Foundation has been a strong supporter of Idaho Public Television.
