Description: Established in 1988, the Foundation supports organizations that help to advance education and improve communities. The Foundation makes grants locally and nationally. Special emphasis is directed toward programs that promote math and science education; empower women and underserved youth to enter math and science fields; and enable Intel employees to serve the needs of their communities.

  • $38,629 to Museum of Science, Boston, MA to produce video, 'Engineering Is Elementary' (2005).

Eligibility: The Foundation typically does not support religious, sectarian, fraternal or political organizations, arts or health care organizations, environmental organizations, private schools or sports teams. No grants to individuals (except for fellowships and scholarships) or for endowments, capital campaigns, general fund drives, annual campaigns, fundraising events, sporting events, television or radio production costs, creation of personal/organization websites, travel or equipment.

Deadline: Applications are accepted by the Community Grant Program on a rolling basis.

How to apply: The Foundation does not accept applications. However, organizations located in communities with a major corporate presence may request grants through the local Corporate Affairs Office. The Intel corporate giving program (U.S. Community Grant Program) does accept proposals. The Community Grant Program makes grants in areas where the company has a major presence.
