Description: Established in 1984, the Foundation seeks to promote, facilitate and expand philanthropy to create a sustainable impact within the community through giving. The Foundation makes discretionary grants through the following programs:

The Foundation also makes capacity-building grants to nonprofit organizations that are service providers in the strategic focus areas.

The Foundation also manages several other grant programs including the Academy of Columbia Foundation, Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation, the Knight Foundation Donor-Advised Fund, the Mary Seibert Charitable Trust and Women in Philanthropy.
