The Advanced Technological Education program at NSF promotes improvement in the education of science and engineering technicians at the undergraduate and secondary school levels.

DOE will award a maximum of $300,000 for projects designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities and women in science and technology careers.
NSF will award $10,000 to up to 16 nominated individuals and organizations for their outstanding mentoring efforts to enhance the participation of individuals in STEM opportunities.
The MacArthur Foundation will provide a total of $150,000 for youth projects, including journalism and communication labs, to make the online experience more civil, safe and empowering.
NSF will make a total of $20 million in grants for projects that improve STEM education practices at a large scale. Planning, research and implementation grants are available.
Proposals are requested for outreach/education projects (instructional materials, multimedia educational materials, outreach collaborations) related broadly to plant biology.
