The Grant Center for Public Media to Attend PMDMC 2016

July 7, 2016

The Grant Center for Public Media will be in attendance for the annual Public Media Development and Marketing Conference (PMDMC), public media’s largest conference dedicated to issues concerning revenue generation, marketing and management. PMDMC is being held this year in Boston from August 10 to August 12.

If you are attending PMDMC, we want to meet up with you! We are always happy to discuss grantseeking priorities with our members and how the Grant Center can help stations find and secure federal and foundation funding. If you would like to schedule a meeting during the conference, contact Meegan White at and/or Anthony Collebrusco at We would be happy to sit down and have a chat!

We are also excited to announce that Anthony Collebrusco, the Grant Center’s Research Associate, will be moderating a breakout session in the Philanthropy track. Details on this and other Grant Center endorsed sessions are listed below:

Thursday, August 11, 2016
2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Having trouble getting on the same page as your content/program director, or getting cooperation in obtaining information necessary for submitting grant proposals, especially for project funding? Do you sometimes feel like you aren't speaking the same language? If you are a news organization, is the "firewall" a constant obstacle for you that you haven't been able to navigate? Learn how to make content your partner, get the information you need and make them feel good about giving it to you. Obtain a better understanding of what they hear when you ask for information, and what they are really saying when they respond to your requests.

Really? Funders Want to Know How Our Programming Makes a Difference?

We present skills training in evaluation and measurement of your station's current and expected impact. We hear from experts on identifying and creating language for your proposals, as well as from a foundation that will articulate what they seek in outcomes and why.
