SERVING OLDER AMERICANS - FOUNDATION PROSPECTS

Serving Older Americans - Foundation Prospects

Finding foundations that fund programs and services related to aging

Today, some 89 million Americans are age 50 or older; by 2030, that number will surge to 120 million. The impact of this “age boom” will be profound, affecting virtually every aspect of society, from health care to housing, from the economy to politics to media. To help public radio and television stations nationwide find support for work to inform and engage older Americans, the Grant Center compiled a list of foundations that fund programs and services related to aging. This list is not comprehensive, so if your station is interested in identifying additional foundations in your region that support programs for older people, please contact Amie Miller, DEI Foundation Development Advisor.
