CONGRATULATIONS TO THE "RURAL DIGITAL" GRANTEES!

Congratulations to the "Rural Digital" Grantees!

On November 10, 2011, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the winners to the Public Television Digital Transition Grant Program, or as we call it, “rural digital”. New grants in the amount of $4.75 million will assist rural public television stations as they complete the digital transition.

A full list of grantees and award amounts can be found in the USDA news release. The following stations are among those selected to receive awards:

  • Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting Network, Inc. – $416,820.
  • Idaho Public Television – $73,115.
  • Western Kentucky University Research Foundation, Inc. – $577,114.
  • Maine Public Broadcasting Corporation – $288,500.
  • West Central Minnesota Educational Television Company, Inc. – $395,000.
  • Northern Minnesota Public Television, Inc. – $117,400.
  • University of Central Missouri – $681,968.
  • Mississippi Authority for Educational Television – $144,680.
  • University of North Carolina Center for Public Television – $357,320.
  • Regents of the University of New Mexico – $50,000.
  • Regents of New Mexico State University – $206,391.
  • South Dakota Board of Directors for Educational Telecommunications – $750,000.
  • Upper Cumberland Broadcast Council, WCTE-TV – $309,107.
  • The Greater Chattanooga Public Television Corp. – $358,000.
  • Blue Ridge Public Television – $25,540.
