MOBILE VIDEO

Further development of mobile video capabilities is a major priority to APTS. In collaboration with CPB and PBS, APTS has advocated greater accessibility to digital television on cell phones and other portable electronic devices. This will greatly benefit Americans as they will have improved access to emergency alerts, progressive children’s educational programming and current news.

APTS is proud to be a member of the Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC), an alliance of U.S. commercial and public broadcasters formed to accelerate the development and rollout of mobile DTV products and services. To read more about OMVC, visit their website here.
