A Strong Grasstops Response Needed to Counter Anticipated Appropriations Cuts

As the FY 2006 appropriations season progresses through committee mark-ups in the Spring and Summer, APTS hopes stations will embrace the No Member Left Behind campaign. The goal is to energize stations, their boards and community partners in reaching out to their Members of Congress to solidify congressional support for Public Television and our funding requests.

Ascertainable Goals

Because of the critical nature of this campaign, APTS has established the benchmark goals listed below -- including generating at least 20 letters to each Member of Congress in a station's delegation by April 30, 2005. Please forward a copy of letters to Debra Tica Sanchez, Director of Government Relations, by e-mail to debra@apts.org or fax to 202/654-4236, so we can track campaign participation and results.
