New Mexico PBS Provides An In-Depth Look at the Inspiration, Challenges and Processes of Local Artists

For over 20 years, New Mexico PBS’s weekly art series ¡COLORES! has explored the arts, music, history and culture of New Mexico and the southwest.

The 30-minute weekly series features local and national stories about film, visual and performing arts, theatre, photography, literature, painting, sculpture, poetry and dance. ¡COLORES! provides an in-depth look at the inspiration, challenges and processes of a wide range of artists.

Viewers can tune into ¡COLORES! for an enriching cultural experience every Friday at 9:00pm.

¡COLORES! premiere episode in 2013 aired on January 25 and featured interviews with several guests. One of New Mexico’s favorite authors, John Nichols, talked about his 40-year career, including writing “The Milagro Bean Field War.” Documentary photographer Terry Gydesen recounted her career following politicians and iconic figures. MASTERPIECE CLASSIC Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens (“Matthew”) discussed his Broadway debut and the third season of the beloved PBS series.
