State Funding Increases for Idaho Public Television

Good news for Idahoans and Idaho Public Television

The Idaho House of Representatives passed their state budget on Tuesday, March 18, after the Senate passed it the previous week. The budget included an increase for Idaho Public Television over the current year and moves some appropriations from a one-time capital fund into on-going maintenance funds. After both the House of Representatives and the Senate passed the budget, the Governor signed it. 

Idaho is one of 21 states that has increased support for public broadcasting in the current budget cycle.
