Lonna Thompson appointed to serve on the Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council for the FCC
 

WASHINGTON—October 26, 2009 – Lonna Thompson, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for APTS, is among a group of individuals appointed by Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) Chairman Julius Genachowski to serve on the Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC or Council). The members represent a diverse and balanced mix of viewpoints from public safety organizations, Federal, state and local government agencies, the communications industry, and public interest organizations. The Council is a Federal Advisory Committee that will provide recommendations to the Commission regarding best practices and actions the Commission can take to ensure optimal security, reliability, and interoperability of communications systems, including telecommunications, media and public safety communications systems.
