The 2015 National Advocacy Award
APTS presented the 2015 National Advocacy Award to Rob Dunlop, President & CEO, KCTS 9, and Ed Ulman, Executive Director & General Manager, KBTC, for their exceptional efforts in furthering public television’s legislative goals and marshalling grassroots support for public broadcasting.
The 2015 David J. Brugger Lay Leadership Award
APTS presented the 2015 David J. Brugger Lay Leadership Award to Hilma Prather of Kentucky for her outstanding work as a lay leader and advocate in the public broadcasting system.
The 2015 EDGE Award
APTS presented the 2015 EDGE Award to Alan Popkin, Director of Television Engineering and Technical Operations, KLCS-TV in Los Angeles.
The 2015 Public Service Award for Excellence in Education
APTS presented the first-ever Public Service Award for Excellence in Education to Gail Porter Long, who recently retired as senior vice president and chief education officer at Maryland Public Television after four decades of service.

The 2014 National Advocacy Awards
The 2014 National Advocacy Awards recognize two exceptional individuals who exemplify effective advocacy on behalf of public television. This year's awards were given to Gail Sande, Member of the Board of Trustees, KNPB Public Broadcasting, and Dorothy Pacella, Executive Director of the Friends of THIRTEEN, Inc.
