The 2010 David J. Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award
APTS presented the 2010 David J, Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award to the Honorable Louis Wade Sullivan, M.D., Board Chairman of the Atlanta Educational Telecommunications Collaborative, Inc. The Brugger Award, named for the former President and Chief Executive Office of APTS, recognizes an individual who has shown exemplary leadership in advocacy on behalf of public television.

The Honorable Louis Wade Sullivan, M.D.
As Chairman of the entity that operates Public Broadcasting Atlanta, Dr. Sullivan understands the unique ability of public television and radio stations to positively impact the world in which we live. As one of the nation's leading public health policy experts, Dr. Sullivan combines his passion for public broadcasting with his commitment to creating public health education programs that are broadly available, accurate and accessible to all.
