The Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) congratulates Dr. Ernie Wilson on his election as Chair of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) Board. “We are delighted to see Ernie elected by his peers to lead the CPB Board,” said APTS President and CEO Larry Sidman. “Ernie will serve with great vision and distinction. He is the right person at the right time.”
Sidman continued: “Ernie has the full support of APTS to help ensure his successful tenure. APTS looks forward to working with him, CPB President and CEO Pat Harrison, and her excellent team in this time of both challenge and opportunity for public broadcasting.” Wilson was appointed to the CPB Board by President Bill Clinton in September 2000 and is the longest-serving CPB Board Member.
