
APTS Board of Trustees Votes to Form a CEO Search Committee
WASHINGTON – May 18, 2010 – The Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) Board of Trustees has voted to form a CEO Search Committee to fill the position of President and CEO of APTS.
The APTS CEO Search Committee includes Co-Chairs Polly Anderson, General Manager and CEO, KNME-TV, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Elizabeth Christopherson, President, CEO and Director, The Rita Allen Foundation, Princeton, New Jersey. Committee members include Rod Bates, General Manager, Nebraska Educational Telecommunications, Lincoln, Nebraska and APTS Board Chair; DeAnne M. Hamilton, General Manager, WKAR, East Lansing, Michigan; John E. Harris, III, President & CEO, Prairie Public, Fargo, North Dakota; Skip Hinton, President, NETA, Columbia, South Carolina; Tom Karlo, General Manager, KPBS, San Diego State University, San Diego, California; Lonna Thompson, Acting President and CEO, APTS, Arlington, Virginia.
The APTS CEO Search Committee is charged by the APTS Board of Trustees with developing the job description for the President and CEO position, setting a timeline for the search process, and evaluating potential search firms.
