APTS Congratulates Mignon Clyburn on Being Named Acting Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission

WASHINGTON — May 1, 2013 — Patrick Butler, president and chief executive officer of the Association of Public Television Stations (APTS), today congratulated Mignon Clyburn on being named acting chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC):

“The Association of Public Television Stations congratulates Mignon Clyburn on being named acting chairman of the FCC.

“Commissioner Clyburn has served the FCC well since her appointment by President Obama in 2009. Her broad experience and vast knowledge of the issues facing the agency make her a wise choice as the acting chairman and a noteworthy one as the FCC’s first woman to serve in this role.

“APTS, and the entire public television industry, look forward to continue working with acting chairman Clyburn as the Commission works through the important telecommunication issues facing our nation.”
