Ready To Learn: An Update from CPB and PBS

Two years into the Ready To Learn grant cycle, CPB and PBS leadership were prepared to share some updates on the program, as well as an exciting new funding opportunity for a new set of cohort stations. At the time of the webinar, the transmedia suites of programming and content were in a refined beta stage and almost ready for launch, stations had created new models of outreach and early research results were expected later this fall. As discussed on the webinar, be sure to access the joint position statement on technology and interactive media as tools in early childhood programs. This position statement, adopted in January 2012, was issued by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children's Media at Saint Vincent College.
