Description: The Foundation supports programs in a wide range of areas including:
- Public education/education reform
- Civic leadership
- Affordable housing
- Youth development
- Health and human services
- Arts and culture
- Strengthening rural communities.
The Foundation is focused on enabling organizations to respond to the concerns of Arizona communities. The Foundation gives statewide through a network of regional affiliates. A volunteer advisory board oversees each affiliate, including local grant processes.

- $5,350 to KAET TV Channel 8 (2007)
Fit for public broadcasting: This is a fit for public media outlets serving Arizona.
Eligibility: Grants are open to any Arizona 501(c)(3) organization; any Arizona government entity, including Councils of Governments; and any Tribal entity or organization. To become eligible to apply for a grant, organizations must register online (see How to Apply). For questions about eligibility, send an e-mail to grants@azfoundation.org.
The Foundation does not typically sponsor conferences, support religious organizations for religious purposes, assist with reducing organizational debt or fund individuals.
Deadline: The Foundation conducts up to 40 competitive grant cycles per year.
How to apply: Interested applicants should first create an online organizational profile. If approved, the profile will become visible in the Foundation's online "Find and Give" section. Once an organization is registered, it can complete online grant applications.
Giving range: $500 - $200,000+

Total giving: $33.7 million (grants and scholarships); of that total, $3,273,944 was awarded by the Foundation's regional affiliates.
