Going Beyond Broadcast, KET Launches Audio and Video Podcasting Service
Network programs now available online and on the go
The next revolution in program delivery is here, and KET is once again taking the technological lead to give viewers an ever-expanding array of viewing choices.
KET recently launched its online podcasting service, which provides both audio and video subscriptions to several KET productions. KET’s new interview series One to One as well as Mixed Media, Comment on Kentucky, Kentucky Tonight, Connections with Renee Shaw and KET’s legislative coverage are now available via podcasting.
“Podcasting is yet another wonderful way that we can offer our viewers more control and more choices,” said KET Executive Director Malcolm Wall.
While anyone with a computer and Internet connection can take advantage of KET’s podcasting, those with mobile media devices can use the service to watch or listen to these programs when and where they choose.
“Kentucky content, ease of access and regularly refreshed files assures KET delivers programs to increasingly mobile and active users,” said Wall.
KET also continues to add to its expansive list of programs available online via streaming video. To date, more than 2,000 hours of content have been made available for online viewing.
